Marketing - Promote, sell and distribute materials to assist agents. Provide quotes and run illustrations for clients.
Accounting – Maintains payroll, billing for services and employee insurance programs.
Underwriting –Responsible for the gathering, evaluation and assessment of medical and financial information of applications for insurance. Work with insurance carrier underwriters to negotiate the best possible medical and financial offers. Provide updated information regarding industry underwriting changes to insurance agents and internal marketing and sales departments.
Commission - Work with agents/agencies and insurance carriers to pay the agents/agency their appropriate commissions.
Contracting - Work with agents and insurance companies to get agents appointed with the various insurance companies.
Case Management - Responsible for the overall success of managing an individual's application from application submission to a carrier, to approval and then delivery and placement. Accountable to obtain underwriting requirements so the underwriter can make a decision regarding the insured's eligibility. Responsible for assisting agents in understanding the requirements needed by the underwriter and in understanding different carriers' products. Offer solutions to agents in the event offers from carriers are received other than applied.
Office & Executive Support-Perform the day to day activities that support the office and executive staff. Answer calls through switchboard, greet guest, distribute mail, file, prepare reports, coordinate meeting and travel plans, balance payroll hours, etc.
Technology –Troubleshoot computer/network problems, provide end user support, and new employee technology training. Maintain computer network. Create a user friendly website for agents, clients and employees. Design, update, and maintain databases.
